Show me the money

By the end of the day the attendance began to wane but this afternoon it was a full house in the auditorium for a presentation on the Google books settlement and one very brave google rep sat in between a University administrator and a disgruntled publisher on a panel.

Googel have scanned 10 million books to date and has partnerships with 42 Libraries. Google have claimed it is all carreid out under fair use provision of US copyright law and soon there will be a ruling. Some key dates looming on the horizon. 4th September is deadline for objections and the fairness hearing is set for 7th October.
